International Conference on Global Diplomacy
«Global Diplomacy – A Post-Institutional Approach» was the title of an international conference that took place on August 30-31, 2018, coorganized by Dodis and the Institute for European Global Studies of the University of Basel. The conference seeked to move beyond Eurocentric discussions, aiming for a global perspective on diplomacy.
«Journal d'un témoin»
Ministre de Suisse à Tokyo de 1940 à 1945, Camille Gorgé fait figure de témoin privilégié de cette période tragique de l’histoire mondiale. Ses Mémoires inédits, intitulés «Débâcle au Soleil-Levant: Journal d’un témoin», ont été rédigés dans l’immédiat après-guerre à partir de ses souvenirs, notes personnelles, rapports officiels et correspondances.

e-Dossier: The Bührle Affair
For months, Fritz Real had been suspecting that large numbers of illegally exported Swiss anti-aircraft guns were used in the Nigerian civil war. Finally, on 12 June 1968, the Swiss ambassador in Lagos obtained the decisive clue «from a reliable source», «that clearly indicates a blatant violation of Swiss export provisions by Bührle & Co.»
«Die Revolte der Jungen»
«1968» fand nicht nur in Paris und Prag, sondern auch in Leuven, Lund und Londonderry, in Goiana, al-Mansura und Rawalpindi statt. Die Schweizer Diplomaten auf den Aussenposten in aller Welt nahmen die Proteste von Jugendlichen, die sich damals in verschiedenen Ländern ereigneten, als eine globale Bewegung wahr.
