e-Dossier: Beginn der «Mirage-Affäre» 1964
«Es handle sich um eine sehr peinliche Angelegenheit, die ihm schon lange viele Sorgen mache», berichtete Paul Chaudet seinen Bundesratskollegen in der Sitzung vom 28. Februar 1964. Bei der Beschaffung der neuen Mirage-Kampfflugzeuge, führte der EMD-Vorsteher aus, sei es zu einer massiven Überschreitung des vom Parlament genehmigten Budgets gekommen.
Dodis Reloaded
The decisive step towards «Dodis 2.0» has been taken: in its continual efforts to renew the database, the research group of the DDS has brought together its front and back end technologies. Whereas so far, users only perceived small changes, «Dodis Reloaded» represents a definite milestone for the work of the research group.
The birth of the «International Committee of Editors of Diplomatic Documents»
From 1st to 5th October 2013, delegations from 5 continents came together for the 12th International Conference of Editors of Diplomatic Documents, which took place at the Palais des Nations, in Geneva. The high point of the Conference of Editors was the founding of the «International Committee of Editors of Diplomatic Documents».

Preparations are running at full speed: The research group of the Diplomatic Documents of Switzerland is in the midst of organising the 12th International Conference of Editors of Diplomatic Documents and the International Symposium «Diplomacy and Global Governance».
Dodis in the FAZ
The renowned Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung, also known as the FAZ, has published a review of volume 24 of the DDS, which covers the years 1967-1969. Its author, Horst Möller, was the Director of the Institute of Contemporary History Munich-Berlin up to 2011, and Professor for Modern and Contemporary History at the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich.
Nachruf auf Professor Walther Hofer
Mit Betroffenheit hat die Forschungsgruppe der DDS vom kürzlichen Tod von Prof. Dr. em. Walther Hofer erfahren. Durch seine Arbeiten zur Geschichte des Nationalsozialismus und des Zweiten Weltkriegs fand der Ordinarius für Neuere Allgemeine Geschichte an der Universität Bern weit über die Landesgrenzen hinaus Beachtung und Anerkennung.

The President of the Comittee overseeing the publication of the Diplomatic Documents of Switzerland (DDS), Prof. PhD Hans Ulrich Jost, will be giving a talk on 29 May 2013, on the subject «Neutrality – What else? From Brother Klaus to ‹fiscal neutrality›».
e-Dossier: Beitritt zum Europarat 1963
«Der Europarat ist der Ort, wo wir aus nächster Nähe das ‹Klima› Europas erspüren können», stellte SP-Nationalrat Max Weber an der Sitzung einer vom Bundesrat eingesetzten Arbeitsgruppe im November 1963 fest (dodis.ch/34192). Am 6. Mai desselben Jahres war die Schweiz dieser europäischen Organisation mit Sitz in Strassburg beigetreten.
