Volume 24 shows the multitude of aspects with which Swiss foreign relations had to cope between 1967 and 1969. Alongside its relationship with neighbouring countries and the cooperation with neutral countries, the core issue was that of European integration. Economic and financial relations, relationships with international organisations, development cooperation as well as the «good offices» were going to be influenced by international events such as the Vietnam War, the Six-Day War, the Biafra Crisis and the Czechoslovakia Crisis. A number of Federal Councillors' trips to Eastern Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa testify to a growing differentiation in foreign policy interests.
